We are looking for an experienced social worker to work in an Assessment Service to provide cover during the transition into a new structure.
The post holder will be expected to undertake the following duties:
- hold and manage a caseload of complex and high risk cases
- To act as a mentor and role model for social workers to improve and develop practice
- To play a key role in the development of the team and the service as a whole.
The Assessment service are responsible for Initial single Assessments, single assessments/Pre-birth assessments for all children/Child in Need- short term intervention up to 8 weeks/Emergency protection to first interim care order/Child protection to initial child protection conference/Viability assessments/private fostering assessment/16-17 homeless – immediate accommodation.
