You will be an integral member of the pharmacy department and the clinical area through which they are rotating. Rotations will include medicine, acute medicine, surgery and medicine for the elderly.
- The post holder will act as a senior representative of pharmacy in that area, developing and building relationships with other staff. You will be utilising your clinical knowledge in the management and optimisation of medicines while also continuing to provide core clinical pharmacy duties.
- Attendance on consultant ward rounds will be expected where appropriate.
- The Trust and the Pharmacy department support and encourage non-medical prescribing; support will be provided to work towards this qualification if appropriate.
- As a senior team member there is an expectation that the post holder will develop the role of the senior pharmacist in the rotation role and the service provided.
- As a band 7 pharmacist, the post holder will be required to manage, support and provide training for band 6 pharmacists.
- Contribution to audit, policy or procedure development will be expected.
- Participation in pharmacy on-call, weekend and bank holiday duties will be required
