On call shifts are not required. 

The successful candidate will be pivotal in determining, shaping and delivering the vision for the system-wide glaucoma service provision for patients across Essex including training and education to hospital and community based allied health professionals across Essex.

The existing ophthalmology services provide a comprehensive range of ophthalmology services including Glaucoma, Cornea, VR, MR, Paediatrics and Oculo-plastics supported by a range of specialist trainees, specialty doctors, fellows and allied health professionals.

 The medical workforce has the opportunity to participate in medical faculty academic activities in a rapidly developing academic environment.
