The tasks will include:
- Accurate dispensing all types of prescription, entering patient details on the computer system.
- Stock control
- Counselling patients, providing information to patients where there are barriers to understanding.
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals.
- Problem solving within own limitations.
- Making judgements on fulfilling urgent orders, prioritising work.
- Participating in dispensing and record keeping for clinical trials.
- Accurate checking of dispensing for a range of prescriptions (after they have been clinically screened by a Pharmacist). This will include ward sheets, discharge medication, and Controlled Drugs.
