We're recruiting for an experienced occupational therapist to work for a council that's implementing a single handed care project.

The council is trying to save money by reducing care packages by bringing an OT to complete strength based assessments. They are looking for an OT who has great manual handling experience to join them on a locum basis, if you have worked on a similar sort of project then that would be a bonus.

They've identified 90 cases that you can work on, 25 of which they think can be quick wins. The manager would be really happy if there was a care package reduction in 20-40% of the cases.

The hiring manager has come from a locum background herself and understands what is involved in a project like this. We need someone who can hit the ground running but you will also have managerial support to help you achieve your goals, including being put on training that could help you to succeed in the project, if required. This is going to be a challenging role but it has the capacity to be very rewarding and as the manager understands how valuable
a role like this is to the council they are offering a competitive hourly rate.

They are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, they can interview as early as Friday and a start within a week would be possible as long as all the compliance is in place. If you'd like to find out more then please apply with a copy of your CV.
